Elections Canada was unwilling to register The None of the Above Party of Canada as a federal political party for this 2019 Federal election. The party will be allowed to run in the next Bi-election if there is one and the next federal election in 4 years.
As a result candidates across Canada were encouraged to run still run on the ballot as an independent and to advance the party's simply platform.
Paul Taylor, the selected candidate for the None of the Above Party, to run in the riding of Guelph has decided to withdraw his name.
Paul felt that running as an independent would not effectively advance the party's platform which he strongly believes in "Direct democracy" where the party, when elected would give the power of governing back to the people where it belongs!
Paul encourages voters to exercise their most valuable right entrusted to them..
Even if you feeling very disappointed in the prominent parties, then vote for a smaller candidate there are options use them!
In an effort to strengthen the awareness of the party, locally, GuelphNOTA will remain existing until the next election in Ontario.
This is unlike other political parties who shutdown
Paul Taylor has been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly to make it a better place.
The party campaigns on the 3Rs of Direct Democracy:
None of the Above candidates are accountable to their constituents and elected MPs will have no central party policies or controls beyond the binding Direct Democracy principles and to vote for the best interests of their riding - GUELPH!
